Standards/Resources

The Bridge Tool

        Activity:  Pick a standard you will be addressing in your classroom in the next few weeks.

  1. Use the filters in the Common Core Bridge to search for the standard by grade, strand, cluster, or ID.
  2. Try searching the text of the standards for a keyword.
  3. Try finding connected resources by searching for keywords in resources
  4. Pick one of the resources you find. Enter it in the Resource Form.

     Activity:  Pick a topic your students will be learning about in the next few weeks.

Image Resources

In many student projects, we encourage the use of media. It is important students learn to use copyright friendly resources and learn to cite where these resources were found. Here are some image resources that covered under creative commons licensing and available for student use.

     Activity: Using a keyword, select one resource and conduct an image search. Explore the

     resources found. Answer the following:

     1. How easy is it to download an image?

     2. Can you select different sizes of the image?

     3. What do the attributions look like?

     Share your findings with your table group. Be prepared to share out with the whole group.
